THE ABOUT ME STUFF

Let’s start right back at the beginning and the reason behind me becoming an instructor.

So picture this a 17 yr old with her dear old Dad trying to teach her how to reverse out a big old manual car ,  the bench seat couldn’t be pulled forward enough for me to reach the pedals  and stacking pillows on the seat didn’t help.   The car “bunny hopped “ as it went backwards and I can still hear poor old Dad yelling “ you’re burning out my clutch “ ( I think I actually did) .   Well Dad yelled, I cried and all this made me shutdown , I no longer heard any instruction. 

Then my darling Mum came out to act as intermediary…. her advice was “ gold“   She said “darling I think you need professional lessons for both your sake and your Dads… “ she was so right! 

I took the lessons it saved both mine and my Dads sanity and I got my licence.

It was then I thought “ this is what I want to do…be an instructor “ . 

Well life happened and it wasn’t until later in life that I followed that dream , but it was that experience that shaped the way I teach ….just gentle instruction  until you “get it “ simple !
